Welcome to the Marvin Elementary PTO Page!

 

Thank you for your interest in Marvin Elementary PTO!  The purpose of our organization is to promote the welfare of the children at home, school and in the community.  We aim to foster a good working relationship between parents, teachers and school officials.  We also support and promote activities at Marvin Elementary through volunteers, fundraising, and communication.   Past projects supported by PTO funds have been the marquis sign, the floor in the indoor playground, and other playground equipment.  This year we have purchased a poster maker as well as equipment for the PE department.

 

All parents are members!  We have several parents who are serving on the board this year.  Those parents are:

There are many opportunities to volunteer and assist with PTO activities.  We appreciate any help and any amount of time you can give.  For more information on how you can volunteer, please call Susie Sambell at 972-938-0901 or email at susiesambell@sbcglobal.net

 

Announcements:  General PTO meetings are always the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm.  The next PTO night will be Tuesday, May11th.  This will be an informational meeting for next year’s PTO!  If you have a child who will be attending Marvin next year, please come join us!

Spring Fundraiser: Exercise for donations!  We are doing a fitness fundraiser to promote wellness and raise funds for PTO!  Coming very soon! 

 Keep saving your Box Tops for Education, Tyson Project A+, Community Coffee and Campbell’s labels! We will be having a contest.  The class who turns in the most box tops will be getting a pizza party!

Cici’s night at Marvin:  the first and third Tuesday of every month!  Cici’s will donate a percentage of sales to Marvin Elementary.  Tell the cashier Marvin Elementary and make sure they put your receipt in the Marvin bucket!

Teacher Appreciation week is May 3rd through the 8th.

Volunteers are needed!

Graduation is coming!  We need helpers to dress the kids in their caps and gowns!  Graduation days are May 24th-28th.  Please do not volunteer the day of your child’s ceremony.  Please contact Rainey Hicks at raineyr@hotmail.com

Field Day is Tuesday June 1st!  Volunteers are needed to help the PE department!
